I can't believe I've only finished my third week of school. I feel like I have learned a years' worth of new things in the last 14 days. It's overwhelming and exciting at the same time. I love the feeling of exhaustion from all of the new neural connections I have made recently.
I am glad that I decided to jump out of my safe, comfortable school library to take on this new central teaching role. I'm even more grateful to be selected as a member of the program and innovation team fondly referred to as PIT.

When I saw this photo on Twitter this week I related to the message immediately and I knew how I would frame this blog post. Exploring new things and embracing the unknown is possible when you are in a safe and supportive environment. I feel like the innovation team is a group of the "2% ers" and maybe it's the team approach that is giving many of us the confidence to try new approaches and experiment. I know many of us are acting in spite of fear as we contact principals and support teachers in their learning.
This is a great time to be a teacher as we get to learn along with our students and model the rewards that come to those who stay life long learners.
